Our car has a foul and mysterious sound coming from under the hood (we suspect the steering pump, and considering the options, hope it's that and not something a lot harder and/or more expensive to fix) and we have no spare tire, otherwise we'd haul it down there to hang out. We'd even cancel/postpone a rather massively strange but necessarily secret previous commitment to do so. Julia would love to meet you, and I'd love to throw back a brew or three and catch up with you. I have some HST-esque juiciness I can't even share HERE, let alone elsewhere online, and can't even tell all in person to trusted people, but I could, uh, certainly tittilate (I love that word) with a few snippets. Holy Batshit, Robin! The strangeitude hasn't moved so much forward as it has slipped laterally into new dimensions for me, of late. I can say here that despite the angst leading up to a certain situation, and still pending regarding related issues, that it was quite amusing, recently, to be handed a 12-guage pump shotgun and a bag of fourty 00-buck shells and a smaller bag of 5 miscellaneous shells, all with glaring red "EVIDENCE" tags on them, by a sergeant in the lobby of a storefront podunk police department - with sincere apologies on behalf of his jurisdiction, while (legally, so it COULD be juicier there otherwise) carrying - and under the influence of - amphetamines and Valium, and being told by the good sergeant that according to CCIC, I still could not posess the weapon or be in the vicinity of the person who was standing next to me, and then, as he watched, driving away with the aforementioned weapon, ammo, and individual. Oh, and they gave me four free gun-locks, at my request. (There was a sign in the window offering them, and that is how many arms I/we currently own. The other guy in the lobby who was waiting to retrieve his bicycle from their evidence locker grabbed a couple to use as bike-locks, and told them so). My girl, she takes the speed too, like me, by legit script - Adderall (mixed levo- and dextro- amphetamine salt compound tablets) is truly amazing for my severe, finally clinically and officially diagnosed ADHD, makes me saner, calmer, more pleasant to interact with by all accounts, and even helps tremendously with my sleep disorder - but it suffers an unfortunate guilt-by-association bad rap due to its redheaded stepchild meth, and certain abuses of related substances by many people in decades past) - so we are (Hey, Joe!) "Speed Freaks With Guns." And legally simultaneously allowed AND forbidden to be in each others' company, make this little jouney and reception with the sergeant, and drive away together with heavy-ish civilian arms and controlled substances on, and in, us. (Actually, they never gave me any guff about my two different scheduled drugs in one bottle, after apparently confirming their legitimacy with the pharmacy. Or about Julia's giving a fake name when we were "contacted" by them, and my telling them, after they found her ID in my pocket, that she has BPD and DID and sometimes doesn't know who she really is.) And although her license was suspended at the time and they were going to impound her car, they left it and her there after she tearfully begged for a break and to be allowed to just call someone else to drive the car away from the scene, since I, the driver, was under what was later termed by a police official to be "false arrest" and on my second trip in 3 weeks (and also in nearly 42 years) to jail. I have not heard a fraction of the number of sincere apologies from multiple police and court officials for their misconduct in my entire life as I did in the course of the day of that arrest and the next Monday when we went to get my gun. That one I can tell, and there's more fun filler, flair, and flummoxage to it, but it's still relatively pedestrian in comparison to some of my other recent adventures that I can't (yet, for a decade or two) tell even you bunch of wonkies. :) St. whY, enjoying memories of police lip-prints on his figurative buttocks (and still dissociatively disallowing himself memory of certain other events, as recommended/endorsed by a startlingly excellent medical proffessional).. Oh sweet Jellyfish, do I wish I could tell more. It would ignite passions of terror, bewilderment, and hope, even in all your blackened and shriveled little cockles.. I sleep a little... like a light sleep for an hour here or there. And always with dreams... I have remembered far more dreams over this past less than a month than I have in many many years. Mike Hemmingson cropped up in my last dream this morning, and pissed me off. ;) I spent the morning pissed at him, and fed up with everyone. Fortunately reality has slowly crept back, so I'm fed up with everyone but not because of dreams. ;) I am so dazed. I have an appointment with a sleep specialist... next week on Thursday... see how loopy I wind up by then. (I did start taking more Valium, and sometimes get a whole couple of hours of sleep now. I was out of circulation for about one week, or at least almost a week. Even drove to Colorado Springs and met up with Gene at a pub about a week after quitting. We've been downright restless and all over the place, but we should mostly be around this week. Well, with warning. You never know, we suddenly drove to Leadville and spent the night up there recently. I guess we also spent the day in the mountains yesterday. And we went to Barr Lake. And and and... Of course I don't want to be around people who are smoking cigarettes for a while. I'm pretty sensitive right now. (My allergy guard is gone!) I'm kind of loopy and unfocused and suddenly randomly running off places a lot, but otherwise about the same as usual. Oh, and Amara came back from Japan last week.
