Message-ID: I'm ranting at my Republican Governor to end the sales tax on gasoline! Indiana is one of only 4 states that has an add-on sales tax on gas - levied on the total price including built-in taxes that are part of the price! Indiana is the ONLY state that had (past tense) a Republican-controlled house and senate as well as the governor's office that also has a sales tax on gasoline. There are only three other states that have sales taxes on gas. Unlike Roger Shoot who is a good citizen and thinks outrageous taxes are a good thing, I subscribe more to the Thomas Nast opinion of government at the present time. Why is taxes paid on gas to maintain the roads, when the gas is used in lawn mowers that do not travel on the roads? I guess my 22" cut push mower puts lots of pot holes in the roads, especially since I do not mow asphalt. It would also be the same for boat owners that do not trailor their boats from different lakes. Message-ID: Here's a helpful hint to help you stretch your gasoline dollar. mix your gasoline with the little styrofoam "popcorn" thingies that you use to pack around breakables before you ship them. A 1:1 ratio will work just fine! (Gasoline will quickly dissolve the styrofoam) - Insert the mix into a high pressured nozzle, then light a match to it simultaneously with the release of the mix blasting from the nozzle!
